Sanctioning Procedures

New Show Applying for Sanctioning

  1. Show must be operational for two years.
  2. Establish the legal owner of the show.
    a. Contact the applicant and inquire who is legally and financially responsible for sustaining the show.
  3. Must provide GT with dates and location 6 months prior to show.
  4. Must follow GT sanctioning rules, code of conduct, Sportsmanship Rules, Sanctioned class rules, breed by class and time allowed, conflict of interest policy, point tabulation forms filled out accurately. 
  5. Must submit an application by the deadline date June 1st of the prior year.

Sale of a show to a current Show Promoter mid cycle

  1. Show must be operational for two years and already sanctioned.
  2. Establish the legal owner of the show.
    a. Contact the applicant and inquire who is legally and financially responsible for sustaining the show.
  3. Must provide GT with dates and location 6 months prior to show. Must follow GT sanctioning rules, code of conduct, Sportsmanship Rules, Sanctioned class rules, breed by class and time allowed, conflict of interest policy, point tabulation forms filled out accurately.
  4. Must submit an application by the deadline date of June 1st of the prior year.
  5. Show must remain in the same area or vicinity until end of 2 year cycle.

Sale of a show to a new Show Promoter mid cycle

  1. Show must be already sanctioned to remain sanctioned. 
  2. Establish the legal owner of show
    1. Contact the applicant and inquire who is legally and financially responsible for sustaining the show.
  3. Must provide GT with dates and location 6 months prior to show.
  4. Must follow GT sanctioning rules, code of conduct, Sportsmanship Rules,Sanctioned class rules, breed by class and time allowed, conflict of interest policy, point tabulation forms filled out accurately. 
  5. Must submit an application by the deadline date June 1st of the prior year.
  6. Show must remain in the same area or vicinity until end of 2 year cycle.
