Upcoming Sanctioned Shows And Meetings

The next GroomTeam General Meeting will be held at SUPERZOO on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 6 pm at the Grooming Contest Stage. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting.

Starting the new 2 year cycle, GroomTeam USA Board of Directors voted in favor of counting all sanctioned shows for the ’24-’25 cycle for the Top 10 totals.

The World Team Championships, prepared by the European Grooming Association (EGA),are traditionally held every two years in the odd year. Due to unforeseen circumstances and the ripple effect of Covid, the 2019 championships were postponed, then held in Septemer of 2022.

Keeping with the traditional two-year cycle, EGA will host the next World Team Championships in 2024. (Date and host country to be determined by EGA).

The GroomTeam USA, Inc.® Board of Directors has voted to extend the 2021 and 2022 Travel Team point calculations to include the 2023 GroomTeam USA, Inc.® sanctioned shows. To maintain consistency, each competitor’s top nine shows for each year will be calculated.

This decision will get the timeline back on track to establish the GroomTeam USA, Inc.®   Travel Team representing the United States of America in the next World Team Championships.

The GroomTeam USA, Inc.® Top Ten awards will continue to be presented annually.
