This award is presented every second even-numbered year at Intergroom to the individual or organization that has encouraged growth, education, and camaraderie in the grooming industry on an international level. The award is named for Shirlee Kalstone, Intergroom Founder and one of the GroomTeam USA, Inc® Founders. The recipient is chosen by the GroomTeam USA, Inc® Board of Directors. The award may only be won once by each honoree.

Judy helped bring overseas grooming trade shows together with her “exchange program” of awarding contest winners from other countries the opportunity to compete at WPA shows, bringing a tremendous international flair to the WPA contest ring.

Her involvement in the legislative aspect of our industry is paramount. As Vice president of the California Professional Pet Groomers Association, she was instrumental in helping defeat the potentially devastating legislation and helping in composing the Standards of Care, Safety and Sanitation set forth by the Professional Pet Groomers & Stylists Alliance.
